Sport Day At Tamaki College For The Year Eights!

As soon as the bell rang we spent around 10 minutes doing some work before we headed off to Tamaki college. We heard the speaker "Can the Year eights who are going to Tamaki College please come up to the office quickly" said Mrs Vickers we looked at each other with excitement and walked up to the office. We saw the Tamaki College van which we used to go to Tamaki. Once we got to the College we stood in a long nice line and waited patiently. We saw Mrs Shortland who came with us to the College, she wrote our names on a tag with a colour on it. we got spilt up into different coloured groups which represent Tamaki college houses. The deputy principal introduced herself and organised us into our teams we spent all day at Tamaki playing sport in our teams that we were put in. We came to school with a positive attitude and big smiles on our face that showed that we all had a fun and exhausting day playing with people who are gonna be year nines in 2016 at Tamaki College.

Sailor the Puffer Fish came to Ruapotaka!

On Thursday Ruapotaka was very lucky to have Sailor the Puffer Fish come and teach us about asthma. We learnt heaps about asthma and how to prevent it. We learnt how to use inhalers and what kind of inhalers actually help us breathe easily. We all had fun singing, laughing and of course learning about asthma. We thanked Sailor the Puffer Fish for coming to our school!
