Pink Bubble Gum Flavoured Broccoli??
Summary- Mcdonald's have created bubble-gum flavoured broccoli. It did not work exactly well. The bubble-gum flavoured broccoli was an attempt to prove that McDonald's promotes healthy food.
Opinion-I think that it shouldn't be made for people to eat. I also know that I wouldn't taste this even if it was sold here.

My favourite Film Festival Video
Summary
My favourite Film Festival Video was made by students at Stonefields School. It’s called Lazy Boy. Lazy boy is about a young boy who sat on his couch all day doing nothing except call his mum to come all the way home from work just to get the remote which was on the table near him.
Opinion
This was my favourite video because when it comes to my little brother sitting on the couch he becomes lazy and I end up doing everything for him. I’ll also make sure my brother watches this so he can learn not to be lazy and I can get revenge on him.

See Lava?Run
Summary The Kilauea volcano on Hawaii has been erupting continuously since 1983. Usually the residents are lucky as the lava flows away from their homes, but this time it is oozing slowly their way.
The lava is moving about nine metres a day and authorities say they may have to evacuate homes in the coming week.
Opinion I think that this is a bit scary. If I was living around there and the lava was headed my way, I would pack up and move fast!

A House Full Of Spiders??
(Summary)- Brian and Susan filed a lawsuit against the house's previous owners, who did not make them aware of the spider problem. Jamel Sandidge, considered one of the nation’s leading Brown Recluse researchers, estimated that there was between 4500 and 6000 spiders living in the home. The spiders even paid Susan a visit in the shower, falling from the ceiling and washing down the drain as she dodged out of its way. Two pest control companies were called out to the house, but neither was able to solve the spider infestation.
(Opinion)- I couldn't believe this when I read it. If I were them, I would have called for help or else it might’ve spread to their neighbours. Lucky for them they got it over and done with.

After undergoing surgery to remove a life threatening tumour from his brain, George the Goldfish is recovering well.
Opinion
I think that this is weird, but at the same time I am thankful that the fish survived. I am happy that the fish can live for another 20 years.

Is It The Ghost Of Anne Tottenham
Thomas says he got the chills when he found the spooky figure in the photo and still doesn't quite believe what he has captured on camera.
This is really surprising and spooky. It is also sad that her parents had to leave her in a room to die while she was ill.

Listening To The Tongan Radio
On Saturday my mum, aunty and I all listened to the Tongan Radio. The reporter said there were Tongan girls pretending to graduate. The reason why the reporter was sharing this story is because the parents organised a big feed at home for nothing. This happened in the North Shore,Melbourne(Australia), and Wellington. We were all very disappointed.

Smart Decisions
When we share on-line we will make smart decisions about what personal information we share
- I will use my first name only
- I am going to think carefully about what I share on-line and if I am not sure I will ask my parents, teachers or principal.
- If I can’t ask anyone or I am not sure I will keep it private
- I will be sharing what I am learning, new knowledge and information relevant to my learning
I have been learning to make safe and careful decisions about what personal information to share on-line. For example, I won’t share my age, first name and last, date of birth, address, and where I live.
Sometimes we can find it hard to make some of these safe decisions so I will ask an adult, teacher, friend or someone I trust to help me make the right choices.
