Earthquake in California

Earthquake hits California

A state of emergency has been declared in northern California, following a magnitude 6 earthquake.
The earthquake struck at 3.20am on Sunday morning and was centred 6km north-west of the town of American Canyon. The quake had a depth of 10.7km.
Reports at this stage say that 87 people have been taken to hospital. Three of these are considered serious, including one child. The quake caused widespread devastation and disruption to transport services. There had been two aftershocks measuring about magnitude 3. The quake was the most powerful to hit the San Francisco Bay area since the 1989 6.9-magnitude Loma Prieta earthquake.

There was an Earthquake that hit  California hard. It hit at 3.20am on Sunday the 24th.  87 people are in hospital.

It is sad to hear that there was an Earthquake in California. This is bad news. I also wish all of them the best of luck in recovering from it.
